City to receive financial report

Mayor A.J. Holloway and members of the Biloxi City Council will receive a report on the city’s financial status when the City Council meets Tuesday afternoon.

Presentation of the FY 2008 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report by the accounting firm Culumber, Fletcher, Harvey and Associates is one of more than a dozen issues on the agenda for the 1:30 p.m. City Hall meeting, which will be open to the public.

Among the other issues on the agenda: an attempt to override mayoral vetoes of a proposed water park at Beck Park and an undisclosed amount of funding for recreational equipment at the Mercy Cross gym. For background on the vetoes, click here.
