Walking parade rolls this evening; other news and notes

The annual Children’s Christmas Walking Parade rolls through downtown Biloxi this evening at 6, kicking off a weekend of holiday events that includes the Christmas on the Water parade Saturday evening.

The walking parade will begin at the Howard Avenue and the I-110 overpass, proceed through the Vieux Marche, and travel south of Lameuse Street, ending at the Town Green, where the lighting of the green takes place.

On Saturday morning and afternoon, Christmas in the City, a collection of arts and crafts booths, will be open in the Vieux Marche, with the Christmas on the Water parade beginning at 6 p.m. in the channel south of the Biloxi Lighthouse and traveling eastward to Casino Row.
