City of Biloxi opens Mercy Cross Recreation Center

The City of Biloxi Parks and Recreation department will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, December 13 beginning at 9 a.m. for the grand opening of the new Mercy Cross Recreation Center.

The center will provide residents on the east side of Biloxi a safe and fun place to participate in recreational activities. Located at 390 Crusader Street, the Mercy Cross Recreation Center will offer ping-pong, foosball, basketball, volleyball, limited fitness equipment and table games.

“This is a significant milestone for east Biloxi,” said Mayor A. J. Holloway. “Among the city facilities we lost in east Biloxi were the O’Hanlon and the East Division centers, but the Mercy Cross Recreation Center will provide the same opportunities that we offered at those sites. I’m confident that our residents will take advantage of this new center.”
The ceremony will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will include such guests as Mayor A.J. Holloway, Parks and Recreation Director, Nathan Sullivan and Parks and Recreation Assistant Director, Cheryl Bell. Refreshments will also be available.
