Today’s update: It’s the last night of curfew

Biloxi’s 11 p.m.-to-5 a.m. curfew ends after tonight, as the downward trajectory of cases continues locally.

However, the Mississippi State Department of Health, which reported a record 397 new cases of the coronavirus on Friday, says there have been 229 new cases of the virus reported in the past 24 hours statewide.

In Harrison County, no new cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

Those retailers who are open as authorized by the Governor’s “Safer at Home” executive order should abide by the city’s safety guidelines issued on Friday, called “Opening up Biloxi Again.”

The guidelines do not open any new businesses. Restaurants, for instance, are limited to take-out or deliver only and no outdoor seating or dining. However, the guidelines are safety protocols to be followed for when the state gives the OK to open.
