The City of Biloxi is now accepting nominations for individuals, groups and companies to be recognized at the upcoming 27th annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony.
Those interested in nominating a volunteer may pick up a nomination form at the Bond-Grant House, 932 Howard Ave., or by clicking here. Forms — which are due by April 5 — include a narrative, photo and the nominee’s specialty.
The volunteer ceremony will be held Wednesday, April 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Donal Snyder Community Center on Pass Road. Invitations will be sent to all nominators and nominees. Special awards will be presented to individuals for outstanding volunteer of the year in these categories: health, community, arts and history, education, military, non profit organization, youth, sports, and adult and youth volunteer groups. An overall Distinguished Volunteer of the Year also will be recognized.
