City Council to meet Tuesday afternoon

A request for a zoning change on Irish Hill Drive at St. Jude Street to allow construction of a 12-unit condominium development is among the half-dozen zoning issues on the City Council agenda for its meeting Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at City Hall.

Also on the agenda is a request to allow the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi to construct at its Our Lady of Fatima property in west Biloxi two residences for retired clergy.

Mayor A.J. Holloway also will be asking councilmembers for authority to broaden the city’s debris-removal efforts to include removing debris from private property in seven areas, covering an area that stretches from the city’s western boundary at DeBuys Road to Lee Street in east Biloxi.
