Residents will be getting an update on the city’s continuing recovery efforts in an eight-page newsletter scheduled to begin arriving in mailboxes throughout the city within the next week.
The December issue of “Storm Recovery News” will be the second citywide mailout since Hurricane Katrina, which decimated Biloxi and the Gulf Coast 13 weeks ago today.
The newsletter will include a status report on the city’s debris removal efforts, a schedule of planned re-openings for Biloxi casino resorts and other facilities, and a map showing the current floodplain in Biloxi and how it compares with the storm’s path of destruction.
