Biloxi summer camp registration to kick off in Woolmarket

The City of Biloxi will hold registration for its annual Summer Playground and Enrichment Program on Saturday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Woolmarket Elementary gym, 12513 John Lee Road.

Registration is open to Biloxi residents in the Woolmarket and North Woolmarket communities with children ages 5 to 14 with and without disabilities. Camp sites will be held at North Woolmarket Elementary, Woolmarket and North Woolmarket Middle School gyms with Teen and Sun Camp at Mercy Cross. Sun Camp is camp for children and young adults with physical and mental disabilities. Camp will run Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with extended care to 6 p.m. Each site will be limited to 70 campers.

The Summer Playground program is an eight to nine week program which begins on Tuesday, June 1 and ends Friday, July 30. Through this program, children will have the opportunity to attend field trips along the Gulf Coast, participate in arts and crafts and organized games.

If slots are available, late registration and non-Biloxi resident registration will be held Tuesday, April 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hiller Park, 380 Hiller Drive.
