Woolmarket residents will be the first to register for Biloxi’s summer playground program when the city hosts registration Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Woolmarket Gym on John Lee Road.
Other Biloxi residents will register on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Donal Snyder Community Center.
The eight-week camp, which will be held from May 28-Aug. 2 at the Woolmarket Gym, and June 11 to Aug. 16 at O’Hanlon Center, and at elementary schools at Jeff Davis, Lopez, Beauvoir, Popp’s Ferry and North Bay.
Non-Biloxi residents can register for the Woolmarket site Monday, April 15, and for other sites Monday, April 22, at the Hiller Park Recreation Office.
The program is open to children ages 5 to 12 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Five-year-old children must have completed kindergarten to be eligible for the camp.
Fees for children living within city limits: $30 field trip fee, $20 a week for first child, $10 per week for each additional child.
Fees for children outside city limits: $30 field trip fee, $30 a week for first child and $15 per week for each additional child.
A latchkey program will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. at each site. One-time fee is $30 per child for the eight-week period.
All initial fees are due at the time of registration.
At registration, parents must supply general health information, the name of their insurance company and policy number, social security number, the name of the child’s physician, and proof of residency (phone, electric or water bills). Proof of residency is mandatory.
