City to host second annual “”Refuse to be a Victim”” program for seniors

The City of Biloxi and local healthcare providers are sponsoring a free seminar in April to help seniors avoid becoming an easy target for scams.

“Refuse to be a Victim,” co-sponsored by Biloxi Regional Medical Center, Senior Care Program and Quality Home Healthcare-Community Caring, will be presented Thursday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Snyder Center on Pass Road.

The workshop will provide common sense tactics for a good start as a personal safety strategy for seniors. This program includes a continental breakfast, health screenings, health information and lunch.

Pre-registration is required, and space is limited to the first 100 registrants.

To register: Tammy Howell, 436-5191.
