Biloxi A to Z: BNews, Breakfast, splash pads, and more

Biloxi A to Z: This week’s video features a look at the April BNews Monthly, a recap of Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich’s presentation during the Biloxi Chamber’s Breakfast event, and an announcement regarding the reopening of the city’s splash pads.

The April BNews Monthly is arriving in mailboxes this weekend and it features a copious amount of information. In the latest issues, there is a status report on the upgrades at the A.J. Holloway Sports Complex and at Todd Migues and Savarro parks, registration information for the city’s summer playground program, a list of news and notes, a look at the floating dock installation at the Point Cadet Marina, reminders for flood insurance and hurricane preparedness for your trees, and a look at recreation activities in downtown. There is also a recycling journey, information on stormwater management and lawn care, a preview of the Biloxi Shuckers’ ninth season, columns from Keesler Air Force Base and Biloxi Sports, infrastructure work reminders, random notes, April Trivia, the April community calendar of events, the April BTV schedule, and the Back in the Day column.

The newsletter is also available on the City of Biloxi website.

The Biloxi Chamber of Commerce held its first Breakfast with the Mayor event for 2024 on Tuesday morning at Merit Health. Mayor Gilich discussed the progress of the Saenger Theatre restoration, the stadium naming rights, and the success of the sand re-nourishment project.

Mayor Gilich also updated everyone on the vast improvements at the A.J. Holloway Sports Complex, lighting upgrades to Todd Migues and Savarro parks, and the status of the Popp’s Ferry Extension.

The Breakfast with the Mayor events are open to chamber members for free and non-chamber members for a fee of $20.
