Work to begin on Back Bay boardwalk, other news and notes

Construction is scheduled to begin soon on the latest boardwalk along Biloxi’s waterfront, on Back Bay from Forrest Avenue to Kensington.

The new boardwalk project, which is scheduled to be completed in September, is among the topics in today’s Biloxi A to Z report. The latest coronavirus numbers and vaccination information also are included in the report.

The week that was: Last week, the Fire Department answered 145 calls for service, including 87 medical emergencies and six fires; the Police Department handled 1,926 calls for service; the Community Development Department issued 97 building permits with a construction valuation of more than $830,000; and the Engineering Department continued to progress on projects throughout the city.  To see the reports covering last week, click here.
