This week in Community Development, commercial construction continues on the Hyatt Place Hotel, Casino Magic, St. Michael’s New Life Parish Center, Walmart Neighborhood Market, First Pentecostal Church, Memorial Hospital Medical Office, Dr. Diaz Surgical Center, and Butler Homes Sales and Construction Office. Final touches are being put on the MGM Park and Boomtown RV Park.
Renovations continue on Beau Rivage’ High Stakes Poker Area, 54 Suites at IP Casino Resort, Golden Nugget, Sheraton Four Points Conversion, Biloxi Regional Outpatient Facility, Encore Shoe Department, Baachus Restaurant, and Petco.
Residential Construction continues on 65 new single family houses, with 8 additional building permits being issued this week.
At DRC this week, the committee will be reviewing the preliminary site plan for the La Quinta Hotel to be located at the corner of Beach Boulevard and Hopkins Boulevard.
