The National Weather Service, which says Biloxi and the surrounding area will remain under a hard-freeze warning and wind-chill advisory until Sunday, is advising local motorists to beware of the possibility of black ice forming over roads and bridges where water vapors or moisture could collect and freeze.
The freezing temperatures could begin to impact Biloxi and the surrounding area around midnight this evening and continuing into Friday morning until sunrise.
Winds will be from the North at 10 to 15 mph with gusts 20 to 25 mph, which will cause wind chill temperatures to dip into the 20s and teens.
Only about six hours of temperatures above freezing are expected on Friday before temperatures return to the 20s and teens Friday night.
