City of Biloxi holds winter swim lesson registration – January 2010

The City of Biloxi Aquatics Division will hold its fall swim lessons registration for Biloxi residents on Tuesday, January 12 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and for non-Biloxi residents on Wednesday, January 13 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Biloxi Natatorium which is located at 1384 Father Ryan Avenue. Classes will begin on Monday, January 25 with different sessions held throughout the winter/spring. All classes will end on Thursday, April 29.

The winter sessions will consist of four types of classes for different ages:

• IPAP – beginner classes for children 6 months of age to 4 years old. An adult must accompany each child in the water during this class.

• Level I & II – beginner classes for children ages 4 and up

• Level III & IV – intermediate classes for children

• Adult classes – for adults of all ages

All classes are taught by certificated American Red Cross instructors.

Late registration will begin on Thursday, January 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Biloxi Natatorium and will continue weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the winter/spring until all classes are full.

The cost for the two week session is $30 for each Biloxi resident and $50 for each non-Biloxi resident. Registration must be done in person.
