Councilmen Kenny Glavan and Felix Gines have ward meetings coming up.
The Ward 6 meeting will be Monday, March 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Innovation Center, Popp’s Ferry Road.
The Ward 2 meeting will be Thursday, March 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Gruich Center, Howard Avenue. Ward 3 Councilmember Dixie Newman has a ward meeting in the works for April.

The Biloxi Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has invited all seven councilmembers to take part in “Coffee Talk,” a presentation with a Q&A, on Wednesday, March 25 at 8 a.m. at Biloxi City Hall.

The week that was: Last week, the Fire Department answered 149 calls for service, including 101 medical emergencies and nine fires; the Police Department handled 1,898 calls for service; the Community Development Department issued 83 building permits with a construction valuation of more than $950,000;  and the Engineering Department continued to progress on projects throughout the city.  To see the reports covering last week, click here.Â
Honoring a hero: Mississippi Power, along with the Mississippi Development Authority and the City of Biloxi, will honor hometown hero – Apollo 13 astronaut and Biloxi native Fred Haise – on the 50th anniversary of his interstellar expedition.
