The ceremony marks the city’s 27th annual volunteer awards ceremony.

Public invited to historical, genealogical meeting

The Mississippi Coast Historical & Genealogical Society will be hosting a meeting on April 24th at 1 p.m.

The meeting is open to the public and will be conducted in the auditorium of the Biloxi Community Development Building Auditorium at 676 Martin Luther King Blvd.

The meeting provides an opportunity for prospective members to learn more about the historical society, including those who enjoy genealogical research.

The meeting is also a chance to learn what resources are available in Biloxi Public Library’s Historical Wing. The Local History & Genealogy Department staff of the Biloxi Public Library and Harrison County Library System will give a short presentation about library services available to the public. Handouts will be available.

For a $15 annual membership fee a member is entitled to a copy of the Mississippi Coast Historical & Genealogical Society journal, which contains historical and genealogical articles.
