Trio of Halloween events on the way

Here is a preview of the Parks & Recreation Department’s Halloween activities:

Halloween on the Green is Saturday

The City of Biloxi Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Halloween on the Green on Saturday, Oct. 24 beginning at 5 p.m. This event is free and open to children ages 12 and under.

The Town Green, on Beach Boulevard between Lameuse and Main streets, will be filled with ghosts and goblins for the affair.

Space walks, carnival games, and trick or treating will be conducted between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and a number of games and contests are planned.

In addition, the Biloxi Main Street District Drive-In Movie, “The Addams Family” will begin at dusk.

Halloween on the Green is co-sponsored by the Biloxi Main Street District, and the Beau Rivage and IP casino resorts.

City to host Senior Halloween Bash

The city’s Parks and Recreation Department will hold its Senior Halloween Bash on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Donal Snyder Community Center, 2520 Pass Road.

The bash is open to adults age 55 and older. Participants are encouraged to wear scary or silly costumes and dance to the tunes of the local DJ. There will be a costume contest, door prizes, sandwiches, chips and drinks.

City plans Halloween in Woolmarket

The city’s Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Halloween in Woolmarket on Friday, Oct. 30 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Woolmarket school grounds on John Lee Road.

Children ages 12 and under can enjoy snacks, space walks and carnival games. Contests and games, including an egg hunt, broom stick race and constume contest — will begin at 6 p.m.

The event is co-sponsored by the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino and Boomtown Casino.
