Today’s report: Five days of numbers

The Mississippi State Department of Health, plagued by technical issues since last week, today released five-day totals of new coronavirus cases: 1,646 cases statewide since Wednesday, including 71 in Harrison County.

The new numbers bring the totals to 22,287 cases identified statewide since Day 1, and 978 deaths.

In Harrison County, the 71 new cases bring the county total since mid-March to 464 cases; however, without a daily count, a daily average could not be computed today for Harrison County.
