Paving should be complete this afternoon or Saturday morning on the intersection of Howard Avenue and Caillavet Street, but work on the section of Caillavet Street south of Jackson Street will not be completed for at least another month.
While the majority of the work involves infrastructure upgrades for MGM Park at Beau Rivage, a 16-inch water line, part of the city’s ongoing post-Katrina infrastructure work, is yet to be installed across the south end of Caillavet. The line will run just north of U.S. 90, and underground boring will not begin until July 7.
