This week in economic development, the building department issued a building permit for the new “Reef Restaurant” to be located on Beach Boulevard between the Waffle House and the South Beach Condotel. A building permit was also issued for the new “Women’s and Children’s Facility” for the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission located at 2745 Mission Lane.
Also this week, the DRC Committee finalized the approvals for the new, 212 unit, “Arbor Landing Apartment Complex” to be located on Popp’s Ferry Road just east of the Lauren Falls/ Taylor Oaks Development. DRC also reviewed a preliminary site plan for “Biloxi Motor Coach Resort”, a new upscale RV park to be located on Highway 15. The new “Waffle House” on Beach Boulevard in West Biloxi is nearing completion, and the exterior walls are going up for the new “Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market” on Pass Road. Permit totals for this week have again exceeded one million dollars.
