The National Weather Service says that as much as two inches of snow could fall on Biloxi and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Friday morning.
The weather service is also forecasting several inches of snow Thursday evening into Friday morning across southwest Mississippi.
The conditions are being driven by an area of low pressure that will develop in the western Gulf of Mexico Thursday and move east across the northern Gulf waters later Thursday.
The weather service says a cold airmass will be in place as moisture increases over the region Thursday, and light rain is likely Thursday afternoon, with some light sleet near I-10.
