Slavic Lodge to seek zoning approval Tuesday

The Slavic Benevolent Association’s plans to construct a new lodge in the Third Street neighborhood on Point Cadet will be among the 18 issues on the agenda when the City Council meets Tuesday at City Hall.

The 1:30 p.m. meeting also includes measures that would re-name the Biloxi Community Center in honor of longtime Biloxi physician Dr. Frank Gruich Sr., set aside $1.6 million for construction of a fire station near the intersection of Cedar Lake and Popp’s Ferry roads and fund repairs at the Popp’s Ferry fire station.
