Seafood museum plans virtual drawdown

The Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum’s 35th Annual $10,000 Drawdown will be a virtual affair on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Because of COVID-19, the drawdown, which is the museum’s major fundraiser of the year, will be held between 7 and 9 p.m. on Sept. 19 on the museum’s Facebook and Instagram pages. The silent auction, which is part of the drawdown, will be live for a month.

Fried shrimp and fish plates will be prepared in to-go boxes and will be handed out by drive through at the museum between 6 and 8 p.m.

Members of the museum are now selling tickets, at $100 each. Only 500 tickets will be sold. Tickets can also be purchased at the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, 115 First St. Details: 228-435-6320.
