R U Ready for hurricane season?

Hurricane season is days old, and the City of Biloxi wants to know if you are prepared. To help residents plan, the city is airing its “R U Ready 2022?” program this month on BTV, the city’s municipal TV channel.

Hear from a host of disaster preparation and response authorities in the latest edition of “R U Ready?”. The 7-minute program, which airs at 7:45 each morning and evening, and each afternoon at 1:45 on BTV, is designed to provide a broad base of information from a variety of sources to help local residents and business owners prepare for hurricane season. You can also see it on the city’s YouTube page anytime.

“R U Ready?” includes segments featuring Biloxi Fire Chief and Emergency Manager Nick Geiser; Lt. Col. Mark Withee, 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron; Capt. Michael Strickland, Mississippi Department of Marine Resources; Dr. Tracie Sempier, Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium; and Jeff Shepard, Mississippi Power.
