The Popp’s Ferry bridge will be reduced to one lane at its draw this morning while workers make repairs to the bridge’s steel grate.
The work, deemed as emergency repairs by the city’s Public Works Department, is to repair or replace teeth in the steel grate of the span. The work is expected to be completed by noon, but a half day of follow-up repairs are planned for Saturday. Police will be at the worksite to help traffic move safely.
