The Popp’s Ferry bridge, which was closed to traffic around 3 p.m. today while police cleared a traffic accident, was re-opened to traffic at 4 p.m.

General election: Municipal elections will be Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Biloxi. To see the list of polling places, as included in a public notice published weeks ago, click here.
Council meeting: The City Council’s next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, June 9 at 1:30 p.m.
Contract awards: The city this week awarded a $413,000 contract to the Biloxi firm J.O. Collins Contracting for the refurbishment of the Biloxi Lighthouse, the city’s signature landmark. Also awarded this week: three contracts totaling nearly $3 million to F&F Construction, Warren Paving and SCI for improvements to Brodie Road.
