The Biloxi football game with Moss Point has been moved from Friday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Biloxi High School stadium.
Biloxi Athletic Director Henry “Spud” Wieniewitz said the game was pushed back because of the interruption caused by Hurricane Gustav.
“We had to find all of our kids and have at least two or three days to prepare,” Wieniewitz said. “Yesterday, we had our first practice, and 20 of our kids were missing.”
Safety, he added, was another factor: “You have to be conditioned. Our players have been off four or five days, and they have to get out there and run, and get themselves conditioned in order to play a football game.”
