Still seeing red at intersections

Biloxi’s Public Works Department this morning assisted Gulfport in restoring traffic signals at Debuys and Pass roads, leaving only seven of Biloxi’s 64 signalized intersections still not fully functioning.

Stephen Laiche, of the department’s maintenance division, reports that traffic signals are not working at these intersections: Eisenhower Drive at C.T. Switzer Road, Eisenhower at Rue Palafox, Beauvoir Road at Pass Road, Howard Avenue at Caillavet Street, Howard Avenue at Reynoir Street, Howard Avenue at Oak Street, and Hudson-Krohn Road at Old Highway 67.

“We had traffic signals out at eight intersections in Biloxi this morning, and that number was reduced to seven at noon, after we were able to help our One Coast neighbors at DeBuys Road,” said Mayor Andrew FoFo Gilich.  “We are continuing to await parts and replacement signals, as many cities are along the Coast. Rest assured, they will be restored as soon as possible. We appreciate your continuing patience and please drive carefully.”
