The City of Biloxi Aquatics Division will hold a Lifeguard Training Class beginning Monday, May 17 at 4 p.m. at the Biloxi Natatorium, 1384 Father Ryan Avenue.
Prior to attending the class, participants must sign up for the pretest which will be held at the Biloxi Natatorium on, Wednesday, May 12 and Thursday, May 13 at 4 p.m. Participants must choose one of the two days to take the pretest which consists of a 300 yard swim and 10 pound brick retrieval in 10 feet of water. Once the participants pass the pretest, each may enroll in the two week class that begins Monday, May 17 and pay the class fees. Fees are $100 for Biloxi residents and $175 for non-Biloxi residents, which cover all lifeguard training materials.
To enroll in the Lifeguard Training class, participants must be 15 years of age or older and pass the pretest.
All classes are taught by certified American Red Cross instructors.
