Biloxi’s municipal water system has maintained adequate water pressure, provided continuous service and performed well during Hurricane Zeta and the aftermath, says Public Works Director Billy Ray Allen.
“We made sure we had adequate supply in our city water tanks, and we’ve been able to meet the overall demand of our 15,000 customers,” Allen said. “We’re operating on generators in some cases, but the important thing is since we’ve maintained adequate water pressure, there is no need for any boil-water notices. The water supplied by the City of Biloxi is safe to drink.”
