Holloway questions White House about cover up

Mayor A.J. Holloway had a question for White House political strategist Karl Rove when he greeted President Bush and his entourage during a stop in Gulfport this afternoon.

“I pulled Karl Rove aside and I said, ‘I think there’s a cover-up in Washington that you need to know about,’” Holloway declared to Rove, who broke his stride and focused a serious look toward the mayor.

“Please tell me about it, mayor,” Rove replied.

“Well,” the mayor said, tongue planted firmly in cheek, “I hear they’ve wrapped your car in plastic wrap at the White House.”

Rove leaned his head back in laughter, advising the mayor he was aware of the prank as well as the White House pranksters who had ventured into a West Wing parking lot to wrap Rove’s personal car in plastic wrap and attach an “I love Obama” bumper sticker.
