Harbors, marina update; McGraw, Hill concert; budget meetings

More than 90 percent of the debris has been removed from the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor, the adjoining Commercial Harbor and from Point Cadet Marina, and initial improvements and dredging are underway at Point Cadet, while dredging and construction are expected to begin at the small craft harbor within a month.

“This has been a time-consuming process for the boat owners,” Mayor A.J. Holloway said, “but we’re starting to see some significant progress, and we’re looking forward to even more in the next several weeks.”

In all, the city expects to make more than $26 million in repairs and improvements to its harbors, marina, piers and boat ramps located around the 16-square mile Biloxi peninsula.
