Biloxi Main Street District will sponsor the third annual Grillin’ On The Green Spring Fling on Saturday, March 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Biloxi’s Town Green.
The event will feature 150 arts-and-crafts vendors from throughout the Southeast, a children’s play area, and music by Rhythm N Rain, Fort Bayou Slim and Metrics.
“The grilling competition has quickly become the premiere event of the spring on the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” said Main Street Director Kay Miller. “ We need you to enter your best barbecue! Sign up today and compete for the bragging rights and cash prizes for the best barbeque.”
Teams can enter either the professional or amateur category. Entry fee is $150 a team; however teams keep all proceeds from sales. Teams may their favorites with a choice of six categories. Teams set the prices of their food at a fair and reasonable price, but must offer at least one $5 plate.

Hibernia St. Pat’s parade to roll Saturday
More than 50 units are expected to participate in the Hibernia Marching Society’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which rolls through downtown Biloxi on Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m.
“This will be the first time since Katrina that we have formed at the Biloxi Yacht Club,” said Hibernia member Don Cox.

The parade will begin at the Biloxi Yacht Club on Beach Boulevard, proceed west before turning north on Lameuse Steet, west on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, south on Reynoir Street and ends at Reynoir near U.S. 90.
