Council to eye budget, LDO during Tuesday meetings

The Biloxi City Council will stage two meetings Tuesday: a 9 a.m. gathering to continue deliberations over the city’s spending plans for the next year, and the regular 1:30 p.m. meeting, where councilmembers may vote on approving the city’s Land Development Ordinance.

< p> During the morning meeting, councilmembers are scheduled to discuss the city’s non-departmental funding, which has included funding for social service agencies and special events; and the city’s capital projects budget.

During the afternoon meeting, councilmembers are expected to vote on the city’s Land Development Ordinance, an issue that has stalled over which zoning classification will include adult-oriented businesses.
