City Council to meet Tuesday afternoon

The Biloxi City Council faces an agenda of more than two dozen issues when its meets next week, including a measure to remove hurricane-susceptible trailers and other temporary housing, adding retirees to the city’s generic-drug program, and funding for Fourth of July fireworks and Woolmarket girls softball league.

In all, the agenda includes a dozen zoning issues, including requested approvals for re-zoning of 10 acres of a 24-acre track for senior retirement housing off Popp’s Ferry Road, and an 84-unit condominium plat on West Beach.

A request to re-locate a Lamar Advertising billboard closer to U.S. 90 near Rodenberg, a measure tabled last week, is also on the agenda.
