Casino revenue jumps 11 percent in May

Biloxi’s nine casinos reported $79.5 million in gaming revenue in May, an increase of $8 million over April’s $71.1 million and a half-million dollars more than May 2007.

Mayor A.J. Holloway said he was pleased to see revenue rebound from a 20-month low last month, but he noted that for the fiscal year, Biloxi’s casino market is 4 percent off the record-setting pace of last year.
