Camp registration is Saturday for Biloxi residents

The City of Biloxi is conducting registration for its annual Summer Playground and Enrichment Program on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Donal M. Snyder Sr. Community Center.

Three things to note: This initial registration is exclusively for Biloxi residents. All 5-year-olds must have completed kindergarten to be eligible for camp. A $10 registration fee will be required Saturday morning.

Registration is open to Biloxians with children ages 5 to 14 and physically and mentally challenged children. Camp sites include Popp’s Ferry, North Bay, Jeff Davis, Lopez, Beauvoir, and Mercy Cross as Teen and Sun Camp. As of now, all campsites are opened for registration; however each site is limited to 70 campers.

Camp will be held Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with extended care, Latch Key, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Camp will start May 31 and end July 22. Weekly fees for Biloxi residents begin at $40 per week, which includes a daily lunch.
