Biloxi property owners and residents this week will be receiving an update on the city’s ongoing recovery from Hurricane Katrina and tips on how to minimize neighborhood flooding and water pollution.
The latest issue of “Storm Recovery News,” which is being printed now by Knight-Abbey Commercial Printers and Direct Mail, is expected to arrive in mailboxes throughout the city by Thanksgiving Day.
Centerpiece of the four-page mailout is information on how property owners can help prevent neighborhood flooding and minimize the risk of pollution to area waterways. The Environmental Protection Agency mandates that the information be distributed as part of the city’s stormwater management plan.
The mailout also includes a status report from Mayor A.J. Holloway on such issues as debris removal and replacement of storm-damaged traffic signals.
