Biloxi hunting Halloween on Howard participants

Preparations are underway for the annual Halloween on Howard event, and the Biloxi Parks & Recreation Department is seeking businesses and organizations to participate by passing out candy during the event.

Halloween on Howard, set for Saturday, Oct. 25, at 6:30 p.m., is a family-friendly drive-through trick-or-treating event along Howard Avenue from Lameuse Street to Hopkins Boulevard. Along the way, businesses and organizations will be passing out candy to the ghouls and goblins riding in vehicles.

Staff with the Biloxi Parks & Recreation Department are asking businesses and organizations to set up a table and pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters as they drive by.

“This is a very popular event that grows larger each year,” says Biloxi Parks & Recreation Director Jamie Lee. “Support from the community not only helps to make this a memorable event, but also allows businesses and organizations to connect with others.”

Participants will be given one table and two chairs, and are encouraged to decorate their area in a Halloween theme. Participants must provide table covering, signage, and decorations.

Those interested should complete a participation form and return it to Parks & Recreation by Friday, Oct. 17, by emailing programs@biloxi.ms.us.
