Biloxi Beautification Commission

Keep Biloxi Beautiful!

The Biloxi Beautification Commission is a City Council-appointed advisory board whose charge is to work with local leaders, agencies, groups, businesses, and individuals to help guide and coordinate the city’s beautification efforts.

This would be achieved, the ordinance states, through the development of a comprehensive beautification plan, conducting citywide educational programs, and anti-litter and clean-up campaigns.

The commission’s public meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 11 a.m. in the City Council room, second floor,  Biloxi City Hall, 140 Lameuse St.

The idea of a Beautification Commission goes back decades in Biloxi, to March 7, 1975, statutorily under ordinance 1177. On Oct. 7, 2025, Councilman Jamie Creel made the first appointment to the commission in nearly 50 years. Other councilmembers made appointments in succeeding weeks, and the revived Biloxi Beautification Commission conducted its first meeting on Nov. 5, 2025.

Members of the seven-member commission, serving three-year terms beginning in late 2025, are:

Ward 1: Susan Cain

Ward 2: James McClendon

Ward 3: Stacey Eleuterius Barber

Ward 4: Lara Bernich Alley

Ward 5: Vincent Creel

Ward 6: Connie Rockco

Ward 7: TBA
