Biloxi A to Z: September BNews, park and pier reopening, and more

Biloxi A to Z: This week’s video features the September issue of BNews Monthly. The 24-page issue includes an update on the improvements set for the A. J. Holloway Sports Complex, a reminder on the golf cart rules and regulations in Biloxi, and a status report on the city youth sports. It also features a new page titled “A Thousand Words”, and more than a half dozen advertisers: The Peoples Bank, Kilwins, Mississippi Power, The Palace Casino, Biloxi Public Schools, Treasure Bay, Biloxi Beach and Boat Storage, and the Scarlet Pearl.

Today’s video also includes an update on the lighting work at the Biloxi Dog Park and renovations at the Forrest and Porter Avenue piers, a look at the agendas for three city council meetings scheduled for next week, the weekend weather forecast, and a preview of events taking place throughout the weekend.

News & notes: Going gold, office closings, traffic

Go Gold: The Biloxi Lighthouse turned gold Thursday night to bring awareness to childhood cancer. The golden beacon will shine throughout the month of September in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. To see a picture of the illuminated lighthouse, click here.

Holiday office closures: All non-emergency municipal offices in Biloxi will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day. The Biloxi Visitors Center will be open Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
