News & notes: Holiday closures, council, and more

Office closures: All non-emergency municipal offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of MLK Jr. Day.

Twelfth Night Celebration: Under the purple, green, and gold illuminated three-story City Hall, the 2024 Gulf Coast Carnival Association Flag Bearers were introduced. Directly across the street, a bonus First Friday Block Party took place with entertainment by the Bucktown All-Stars. To see the photos, click here.

Council meeting: The Biloxi City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi City Hall 140 Lameuse St. The meeting will be followed by a special called meeting to discuss proposed ordinances for Recreation Vehicle Parks and storage or parking of heavy trucks, trailers, major recreational equipment or mobile homes.
