News & notes: Croatian visitors, council

Croatian visitors: Friday morning Croatian President Zoran Milanović and First Lady of Croatia Sanja Musić Milanović were welcomed to Biloxi with a ceremony at Biloxi City Hall. The President and First Lady visited Biloxi after attending the United Nations General Assembly Session in New York. Mayor Gilich, who is of Croatian descent, assisted with the coordination of the visit. To see images from the gathering, click here.

City Council: The Biloxi City Council will not hold a meeting next week because it has already held three regularly scheduled meetings this month. The schedule was set this way to accommodate budget approvals. The next regularly scheduled meeting is set for Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. at Biloxi City Hall. To see the meeting schedule, click here.
