Biloxi A to Z: Cooking safety, other holiday reminders

Biloxi A to Z: Thanksgiving is next Thursday, Nov. 23, and this week’s video features reminders to help keep the holiday safe and joyous.

The Biloxi Fire Department advises residents to be cautious and mindful when cooking in the kitchen and when decorating with holiday lights.

Waste Management and Pelican Waste will not run on Thanksgiving Day. Thursday and Friday service will be a day later than usual for the week.

Coast Transit Authority’s fixed-bus service will operate on a Sunday time schedule on Thanksgiving Day.

News & notes: Council, closings

City Council: The Biloxi City Council will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi City Hall. To see the agenda and supporting documents, click here.

Closings: All non-emergency city offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24 in observance of Thanksgiving. The Biloxi Visitors Center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will reopen on Friday, Nov. 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
