Back-to-school pool party, special needs dance coming up

The City of Biloxi’s Parks and Recreation Department will host two upcoming back to school events: a Back to School Hoorah Pool Party and a Special Needs Back-To-School Hoorah Dance for children and adults.

The pool party will be on Friday, Sept. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Biloxi Natatorium, which is at 1384 Father Ryan Ave. All children, ages 5-12 are invited to attend. All children 10 and under who do not know how to swim must have an adult 18 or older in the water with them. Everyone must have correct swimsuit; boys must have a drawstring and liner.

Admission will be free and lifeguards will be on duty at all times throughout the pool party.

Those attending are encouraged to wear red in support of the Biloxi Indians.

All children must be picked up from the Natatorium by 8 p.m.

The Special Needs
Back-To-School Hoorah Dance for children and adults will be Friday, Aug. 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Donald M. Snyder Sr. Community Center, 2520 Pass Road.

Those attending the free event are encouraged to wear their favorite sports team jersey. Food will be provided at the event.
