Residents and businesses near North Bay Elementary School may hear a commotion – fire alarms, sirens and possibly gunfire – Friday morning as part of a Biloxi Public Schools training exercise to help keep schools safe.
Students will not be on campus Friday because of a fall holiday. The active shooter drill is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and is expected to be completed about 1 p.m.
Among those involved in the exercise will be Biloxi School Resource Officers, Biloxi Police officers and the department’s SWAT team, AMR and the Biloxi Fire Department.
