Biloxi City Hall will be open Saturday, May 31, from 8 a.m. to noon for absentee voting for the June 3 General Election.
Absentee votes are for eligible voters who are unable to be at the polls on election day.
“Please make sure you have an acceptable form of voter ID when voting,” said Biloxi Municipal Clerk Stacy Thacker. “This could be a driver’s license; a photo ID card issued by a branch, department, or entity of the state of Mississippi; a U.S. passport; a government employee ID card; a firearms license; a student photo ID issued by an accredited Mississippi university, college, or community/junior college; a U.S. military ID; a tribal photo ID; any other photo ID issued by any branch, department, agency or entity of the U.S. government or any state government; or a Mississippi Voter Identification Card.” Absentee ballots also can be mailed, but must be postmarked on or before election day.
Those casting their vote by absentee ballot on Saturday will need to do so at the municipal clerk’s office located on the second floor of City Hall, located at 140 Lameuse St.
