RV parking during Cruisin’

Cruisin’ The Coast begins Sunday, and visitors are already arriving. Property owners, if you are planning to allow a recreational vehicle, also known as an RV, to park on your property during Cruisin’ The Coast, make sure you are following the city’s Special Events Ordinance.

The easiest way to gather the information you need is to visit online at biloxi.ms.us/specialevents. There, you will find an online basic guide to special events, including information for property owners who want to allow RVs on their property for Tier 1 events such as Cruisin’ the Coast.

Property owners who plan to allow visitors to park an RV on their property at no charge during a Tier 1 event must obtain an affidavit for RV Parking from the Biloxi Community Development Department, 676 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., and return it to the department. An affidavit is also available on the special events webpage.

Property owners who intend to rent or lease space for RVs during Tier 1 events are required to obtain a parking permit of $50 from Biloxi Community Development and comply with certain standards. The standards include, and are not limited to, such regulations as a maximum density of one recreational vehicle per 750 square feet; a parcel’s setbacks clear of any recreational vehicle; a minimum of eight feet separation of vehicles from each other and from other structures, and $10 per space per night.

The Special Events webpage is a guide to provide easy access to important information. Property owners intending to allow RVs on their property during a special event should contact the Biloxi Community Development Department for more information.
