The Biloxi City Council, during its regularly scheduled meeting this afternoon, will consider the purchase of new and replacement radios and video systems for the Biloxi Police Department.
Councilmembers also will be asked to continue the state of emergency declaration, which has been in place since preparations originally began for Hurricane Katrina.

eBus to offer free online access
Residents in Biloxi and Ocean Springs over the next several weeks can have free internet and e-mail access, and free use of computers to update resumes or practice typing skills, thanks to a visit by a 40-foot eBus equipped with 12 computer workstations that use a satellite to link to the world wide web.
The Los Angeles-based Community College Foundation, with support from sponsors Fifth Third Bank and Freddie Mac, decided to divert the eBus from its normal schedule in November and December and assist Hurricane Katrina victims on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The eBus schedule:
Thursdays (Nov. 10, 17; and Dec. 1, 8, 15) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Biloxi Public Library, 139 Lameuse St.
Fridays (Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 30) from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wal-mart, 3911 Bienville Blvd., Ocean Springs.
